Skoda reveals the Enyaq. Second EV from the brand

Like most car manufacturers, Skoda will also have a full line-up of electric vehicles shown in the next years. First was the Citigo-e iV and now, based on the MEB platform from the Volkswagen Group, we know the name of the first electric SUV. Enyaq.

The same platform is also used on the iD.3 electric hatchback and will be the base for most cars in the German group.

According to Skoda, Enyaq comes from the Irish name Enya. What does this mean? It has origins in the Gaelic word "eithne," meaning "essence, spirit or principle". This new model is probably based on the Skoda Vision iV concept shown at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.

iV, like the iD, will be Skoda's electric sub-brand. Similar to the SUV models (that start with a K) the iV models will have their name starting with an E.
