Ford finally reveals the 2014 Mustang

The Mustang is almost 50 years old (April 17, 2014, marks the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the original Ford Mustang) and to celebrate that Ford showed for the first time the seventh version of this classic model. The Mustang VII is will be officially sold for the first time in Europe so the design was adapted for a wider audience while still being inspired by the original model.

Ford promises this new Mustang will have world class performances and will set new handling benchmarks for the brand. To achieve that the north American company fitted their new muscle car with an all-new front and rear suspension systems. You probably remember all the complaints about outdated rear suspension.

Powering this crazy horse are three engines. For the first time ever there will be a inline, four-cylinder, 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that generates 309PS (305bhp or 227kW) and 407Nm (302lb/ft) of torque. Ford will also make available an upgraded 3.7-liter V6 with 304PS (300bhp or 224kW) and 366Nm (270lb/ft), and a 5.0-liter V8 with 425PS (420bhp or 313kW) and 529Nm (390lb/ft).

To appeal to the European tastes the interior suffered quite a few improvements, particularly in relation to the materials used.
