54 years after the 365 GTS/4 Daytona, Ferrari presents a new front engine soft top model, the Roma Spider

The Ferrari Roma Spider is the latest addition to the Italian automaker's impressive lineup of luxury sports cars. The convertible version of the Ferrari Roma features sleek lines and a powerful engine, offering drivers a thrilling driving experience with a soft top as a roof.

At first glance, the Roma Spyder's design is eye-catching and elegant, with its smooth curves and understated yet stylish detailing. The retractable softtop roof, which can be raised or lowered in under 13,5 seconds at a maximum of 60km/h (37mph), adds a touch of versatility to the car's overall design.

To accommodate the fabric roof, which can be customized to the buyer's taste, the Italian brand had to make changes to the trunk lid and active aero spoiler. This being the only aesthetics difference in relation to the rigid roof model.

This model weighs about 84kg (185lbs) more, which does not change its performance in practically any way. Power comes from the same packs a twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 that produces 612hp and 760Nm (561 lb-ft) and is paired with a dual-clutch, eight-speed automatic gearbox.

The maximum speed (320kmh / 199mph) and the time it takes to go from 0 to 100kmh (62mph - 3,4 seconds) are the same between the two versions. But the soft top version will take a little bit longer to reach higher speeds.

Inside, both vehicles have the same options, trims and colors. Availability was not revealed as well as its price.
