KIA released two photos and a 30-second video where we can see a little of its exterior shape and the main lines that will distinguish this new electric SUV from the Korean brand.
In this teaser we can also see some of the light signature. KIA also wanted to highlight the origin of the name of this electric SUV;
The name, EV9, comes from Kia's EV nomenclature, pairing the prefix ‘EV’ (electric vehicle) with the number ‘9’ (nine), which represents the model’s segment among Kia’s dedicated electric vehicle lineup.
And the platform that supports it;
Like the Kia EV6, the Kia EV9 is built upon the company’s dedicated battery electric vehicle platform, Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).
The full reveal will take place in mid-March, while the rest of the technical details will be revealed later this month.
