After the teaser shown recently by Polestar there wasn't much to actually show, pretty much everyone in the world could see the similarities with the last year special edition BST 270 and this one.
Even worse, the only significant change was a new exclusive Green Nebula exterior paint. Polestar 2 BST Edition 230 is also available with Space Black paint and you can optionally chose a full-length racing stripe for either color. Inside, Polestar adds Micro Suede textile for the seats and steering wheel inserts (made from partly recycled Nubuck textile).
The lack of changes remains at the mechanical level. Power (350kW or 476hp) and torque (680Nm or 502lb-ft) are the same as the previous special edition. This still means a slight increase over the regular Polestar 2.
Also, the chassis changes are the same, including the lowered ride height (-25 mm), specially developed and unique Öhlins 2-way adjustable dampers, front strut bar, 20% stiffer springs and unique black 21-inch alloy wheels. That said, the performance is impressive, it takes 4.4 seconds to reach 100kmh (62mph) and the maximum speed is 205kmh (127mph).
The owners of the previous special edition might not be happy but if you want this version, hurry up, because there's only 230 available in Europe and North America. Orders start today and deliveries are expected to begin on third quarter of 2023.
