What you see here is the first real image of the plug-in hybrid hot hatchback and sportstourer from the recently updated Seat Leon family. It will use the Cupra badge making it the first performance PHEV and also the first hot Leon not wearing the Seat emblem.
The powertrain will be same as the one found in the Skoda Octavia RS Plug-in hybrid. It consists of a 1.4liter TSI turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a 13kwh battery.
Power will be around 250PS (245hp) and 400Nm (295lb/ft). Top speed of 250km/h (155mph) and will reach 100km/h (62mph) in under 7 seconds. Electric range will be close to 70km, depending on how hard you press your foot on the pedal.
It will be revealed on February 20th at the CUPRA Garage inauguration, together the with racing models, CUPRA Leon CompeticiĆ³n and the CUPRA e-Racer. Public reaveal will be at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
