Volvo teased a new music video. Not cool. [Video]

Two days ago, i showed here two videos that served as a teaser for something that was going to be revealed today. That something was just a new music video performed by Lune with the Swedish House Mafia, that also features a Volvo XC60. This was a bad move by Volvo, getting half the internet all excited for nothing. See the video below.

Volvo V40 Pirelli by Heico Sportiv

Italian tire manufacturer, Pirelli, celebrates this year their jubilee and the German Volvo tuner, HEICO SPORTIV, wants to join the party. In 2009, both companies partnership in motorsports, but soon reached other business areas, with Pirelli becoming one of Heico Sportiv’s key technology partners.

Volvo teases... something.

Volvo released today the second video teaser, promising a world premiere, but didn't confirmed if it's a car or something else. This world premiere will take place on Friday 17th May, 2013, at 8:30PM CET, and will feature Swedish House Mafia (Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso) and Lune, meaning this could just be a music video.

Meet the new Volvo FMX

Volvo revealed the new FMX at the 2013 Bauma in Munich, giving it a more distinct look compared to the rest of Volvo's lineup of trucks. Like all truck manufacturers, Volvo also had to improve their models so they comply with the Euro 6 standard, but in the process they also made more significant changes.

Volvo began producing the S60 Polestar. Only available in Australia

Volvo introduced the S60 Polestar for quite some time but never said anything about whether or not it would be produced. Today the story is a little different. The Swedish company announced they are going to produce this car in an undisclosed number of units for the Australian market.

Volvo reveals the new S60, V60 and XC60 R-Design [Video]

Volvo didn't announce they were bringing something to the New York International Auto Show, but strangely they just introduced the R-Design versions for the redesigned Volvo S60, V60 and XC60. The R-Design versions only include cosmetic changes, meaning you can have it with all the engine options Volvo gives us.

Volvo facelifts almost all of their cars. They look worst.

At the moment Volvo sells 8 cars, and of those six will have a major overhaul starting from May. The changes are more than just cosmetic. Besides the new look on the outside and inside the S60, V60, XC60, V70, XC70 and S80 will have better equipment together with an improved fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions.

It seems that the Chinese automobile market is entitled to have the majority of updates before all other countries, and once again it happened with the facelift of the Volvo XC60.

The French automaker, Renault SA, sold the last shares (6,5%) they had in Volvo AB for 1.458 million Euros ($1.92 billion Dollars) ending a connection that lasted for 11 years as the largest owner of the Swedish company.

Volvo S80 facelift for 2013

 

I have to assume that i can not read anything in Mandarin and google translator didn't really help, all i know is that the S80 (S80L) will have a slight face-lift for 2013 (atleast in China), causing it to reach 9 years of life instead of a life cycle of 8 years, normal in Volvo.

Volvo will invest more in Sweden. 11 Billion!

Volvo Car Group will invest eleven billion dollars in the SPA (Scalable Product Architecture) and VEA (Volvo Engine Architecture) and half of that will be spent in Sweden in infrastructure for the new vehicle architecture and engine family.

Volvo develops new EV charger, will charge a car battery in 90 minutes

One of the major problems of electric vehicles, in addition to the storage capacity of batteries, is the time it takes to fully charge an electric car. Volvo now seems to have a solution that promises to fully recharge an electric Volvo C30 in just 90 minutes and in 30 the car will have a range of 80km or almost 50miles.

Volvo's entry level SUV delayed

According to Auto Motor und Sport Volvo has put his small SUV, which could be called XC30 or XC40, on hold because their current Ford-based platform is not flexible enough to be used on a new crossover and their new Scalable Platform Architecture (SPA) is too large for the model.
