Surprisingly, several images of the new Ford Explorer EV have appeared online showing very clearly what this new electric North American car with a German soul looks like.

Ford refreshes the Edge, but only in China

Ford has recently announced the launch of a new variant of the Edge SUV, the Edge L, for the Chinese market. The Edge L is a longer version of the standard Edge model, offering more space and features to Chinese consumers.

Ford finally reveals the 2014 Mustang


The Mustang is almost 50 years old (April 17, 2014, marks the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the original Ford Mustang) and to celebrate that Ford showed for the first time the seventh version of this classic model. The Mustang VII is will be officially sold for the first time in Europe so the design was adapted for a wider audience while still being inspired by the original model.

Ford previews the new S-Max at the Frankfurt Motor Show


This new concept, that closely follows the new design direction seen with the new Fiesta and Mondeo, is a long and sleek looking sports activity vehicle (SAV). It features a high mounted grille and swept-back headlamps, which is a clear evolution over the current model. But if you live in the U.S.A., this vehicle should not be sold on that side of the lake.

Here's the Ford Everest Concept


The Ford Everest, also known as the Endeavour, is a mid-size SUV built specifically for several specific markets, such as Thailand, India and Australia, since 2003. The second generation, based on the Ford Ranger/Mazda BT-50 is on the market for seven years and it's time to undergo a major upgrade.

Ford presents the all-new F-150 Tremor. Comes with a EcoBoost engine


Ford describes this pickup as the "first-ever EcoBoost®-powered sport truck that addresses the needs of street truck enthusiasts looking for high-performance V8 power with V6 fuel economy". But this bothers me, associating fuel economy with a vehicle so large, makes no sense.

Electric Ford Fiesta with eWheelDrive technology [Video]


Ford, together with Schaeffler, is developing a new type of electric vehicle that uses independent electric motors mounted in each of the rear wheels, meaning there is more room, specially under the hood, since the space that was used for the engine and transmission is now available for other uses.

Ford brings back the Escort name, puts it in a concept for the Shanghai Motor Show


The Ford Escort was a small family car that had huge success, particularly in several European markets during the 80s and 90s, achieving great popularity among younger drivers due to its more powerful versions, like the RS Cosworth. The Escort moniker was also used in the North American market and in a few other other countries but it was a different model, that never reached the level of the European version. Now it seems Ford is bringing it back.

Ford shows the all-new Transit Courier!


During the past two years, Ford has renewed its entire line of commercial vehicles, and today ended that process with the introduction of the Transit Courier at the Birmingham CV Show. This new van is based on Ford's B-segment compact platform for an improved maneuverability within the city. It will also be available as a kombi with rear seats.

The Ford Tourneo family made its European debut at the Geneva Motor Show


With all the super cars presented there is now more time to write about some of those vehicles that are a little bit less exciting. Ford brought to Geneva the European EcoSport, and a bunch of versions based on the Tourneo, which in turn is similar to the Transit; the Courier, Connect and Custom. But let's concentrate on the Tourneo family.

Short News: Here's the European Ford EcoSport


What you see here is the European version of the Ford EcoSport which is already sold in several "emerging" markets, like Brazil and Argentina, and will soon become a "Global Model". The premiere in Europe will take place next month at the Geneva Motor Show.

Spain will get another major investment from a carmaker


The German company Volkswagen said last week it would invest around 785 million euros ($1 billion) in a plant in northern Spain over the next five years, making it the third company in recent months that announced a major investment in that country with severe economy problems.

Ford Atlas concept: Is this the future of pickups?


Ford unveiled the Ford Atlas Concept at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit and promises this will be future of all the pickups thanks to its "innovative design, fuel efficiency and smart technologies".

Fourth recall for the 2013 Ford Escape. Fusion also gets recalled


The 2013 Escape and Fusion equipped with the 1600cc engine were the target of a voluntary recall due to the risk of a fire starting in the engine. The reason of the overheating is still unknown but the dealerships will provide rental cars at no additional charge.

Ford Fusion aka Mondeo won the 2013 Green Car of the Year Award


This was announced at the Los Angeles Auto Show in a special ceremony for the event. The Fusion/Mondeo has five engine choices including two EcoBoost turbocharged gasoline engines with direct injection as well as a hybrid and plug-in hybrid.

Ford Fiesta ST in the USA couldn't be more different of the European version


Even if they have the same name, the North American version of the Fiesta ST will only be available as a five-door version while in Europe it is only available with 3 doors. If that wasn't enough the European model has 180ps (178bhp) and 240Nm (177 lb-ft) in comparison with the 200ps (197bhp) and 290Nm (214lb/ft) or the North American market.

Ford Trucks. Yes, real trucks. The 1846T


Seems Ford wants to enter the truck market in Europe and to help achieve that they released the new 1846T the first product developed according to the company’s new “One Ford” strategy that entails an integrated design and production capability using Ford subsidiaries worldwide.

Five Ford Focus ST in SEMA


Ford brought five special versions to the SEMA Show at the Las Vegas convention center. The special versions were created by Tanner Foust Racing, Bojix, M&J Enterprises, Galpin Auto Sports and Steeda Autosports.
