The European Union wants to lower car noise levels

 

It seems that the European Union was not satisfied with the new rules that require decreasing CO2 emissions to 95 grams in 2020 and the mandatory tire labels, now they also want to reduce the noise produced by cars and trucks by 4 and 3 decibels, respectively.

 

Tyre labelling system now effective in Europe

Starting from November 1st a new European Union regulation takes effect forcing manufacturers to label their tires with information about fuel efficiency, braking in wet roads and the external rolling noise they make. The label, ranked from A (best) to G (worst), will help consumers make better choices when the time arrives to change rubber.
