For those of you who still do not know it, BMW will launch the 2-Series lineup, which will replace the 1-series coupe and convertible, but it won't look like the current 1-Series. What we have here are the best pictures we have seen of the M235i, which is the car that will replace the 1M.
The interior will be very similar to the current 1-Series. This is done to save costs and keep the price of the future car a little lower. On the outside we have a much nicer design, with sleeker head lamps, a redesigned "kidney grille", and large air intakes in the front.
At the rear, we can see a design similar to the one found in the current 1 Series coupe LCI, which isn't a bad thing. Viewed from the side, the car also has a similar profile to the current 1 Series coupe LCI.
This rear-wheel drive (if you want, you can choose the xDrive system) car will have the same engine found in the 1M, the N55, turbocharged, six-cylinder, 3.0 liter engine with around 320PS (316hp or 235kW).
Reportedly, BMW will offer the following models in Europe. 220i manual, 225i manual, 225i automatic, M235i manual, M235 automatic, M235 xDrive automatic, 218d manual, 220d automatic, 225d manual and 225 automatic. The U.S.A. will only have the 228i xDrive automatic and the M235i xDrive automatic. This could change at anytime, since the production only starts in November.
