Meet the BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupé [Video]

BMW teamed up with Pininfarina in creating this concept that was revealed during the 2013 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. The Gran Lusso Coupé is a one-off car that wants to raise the concept of luxury and elegance to another level, while keeping the typical BMW proportions.

The aspect of the car has undergone a change that was not as radical as you would expect. It has the same classic features found in all of BMW vehicles, such as the kidney grille and the twin circular head lights. At the back, we can see similarities with newer models of the German brand, but this time we have the rear lights occupying the entire back, going from one side to the other.

The interior is more BMW than Pininfarina, with a nice mix of classic and modern. It is pretty much all lined with leather in a black and a light shade of Tobacco Brown, but a few pieces of trim are made of a single piece of kauri wood, with a few metal highlights in black chrome. To give it a BMW look, all the driving-related functions and controls are slightly angled towards the driver, with most of the controls similar to those found in other BMW cars.

In a car like this, whose interest is its beauty, BMW only revealed that it uses a V12 engine and 21 inch alloy wheels.
