Renault and Red Bull Racing want to celebrate third Formula 1 Constructors’ world title, and to do that they created this special edition Mégane. This is the second time the French company offers this limited edition. It will be available in just 26 countries, with sales starting in France at the end of June, and prices start from €36.000 ($46.150 or £30.350).
Do not expect to see an increase in power in this car, mechanically, it is equal to the regular version of the Mégane R.S., including the Cup chassis, a limited slip differential, and the 2.0 liter, 16 valve engine with Stop&Start that produces 265PS (261hp or 195kW). This engine has an average fuel consumption of 7.5 liters/100km (37.66 UK mpg or 31.36 USA mpg) and CO2 emissions of 174g/km.
The only exception are the Bridgestone tires which are fitted to exclusive 19-inch black wheels with gray pin striping. It is painted in an exclusive Crépuscule Blue finish with a few parts painted in Platinum Grey. Renault also fitted it with the Renault R-Link infotainment system and the R.S. Monitor 2.0.
Renault will stop selling this special limited edition at the end of September.
