Introduced as a concept at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, Jaguar promised they would build 250 units of the C-X75 with a cost of around €1.067.000 (£900.000 or $1.367.000). The production of this supercar car was canceled in December 2012 due to the current" "global economic crisis", but there is hope one day the people at Jaguar change their minds.
The concept had a couple of micro gas turbines used to generate power that charged the batteries, which in turn powered the four electric motors, one for each wheel. The production model would have a turbocharged and supercharged 1.6-liter petrol engine and two electric motors, one for each axle.
The total power output of the hybrid drivetrain was around 900PS (888bhp or 662kW) and it would have 800Nm (590lb/ft) of torque. This would be more than enough to accelerate the car up to 100km/h in less than 3 seconds, with a top speed of over 354km/h (220mph).
Since this is such a good and technologically advanced car, Jaguar is still promoting it, with the latest revelation being a video in which they explain several interesting details of this car which will not be more than just a prototype.
