The power figures in supercars keep getting higher and higher. The 2012 Venon GT is powered by a twin turbocharged Chevrolet LS-series aluminum V8 producing 1200bhp (1217 metric hp) and 1537Nm (1135lb/ft) of torque connected to a six-speed Ricardo manual gearbox.
It will do 0 to 100km/h (0 to 62mph) in just 2,2 seconds and has a top speed of 422km/h (262mph). To stop a car at that speed you need a very special type of brakes, and the Hennesseey has them. 15 inch Brembo carbon ceramic brakes15 with six pistons in the front and four pistons in the rear.
But that was the 2012 model, for 2013 the power figure will rise to 1500bhp (1521 metric hp) obtained from a 7.0 liter twin turbo V8. This time you will be able to choose between the same Ricardo manual transmission or a new seven-speed paddle shift gearbox. But the new values of the top speed and acceleration are unknown.
The body will be the same, made of carbon fiber with new a new door design and increased headroom with a double bubble roof.
