If you thought Jeep was going to bring these vehicles to New York, you are wrong! These six (one Grand Cherokee and five Wranglers) new concepts will be at the 47th Annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari that starts on March 23, and were created as a collaboration between Jeep and Mopar to showcase their new performance parts.

First we got to know what Mike Manley, President and CEO – Jeep Brand had to say:

“Off-road enthusiasts will be pleasantly surprised by the range of Jeep models we’re bringing to this year’s Easter Jeep Safari,” “We go to this extremely popular event in Moab each year to showcase the latest production vehicles from Jeep, as well as a host of new customization and personalization ideas. In doing so, we connect with and receive a tremendous amount of feedback from our most loyal customers.”

Than it was time for Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group LLC’s service, parts and customer-care brand to say what he thought about these concepts:

“We created our new Jeep Performance Parts portfolio for extreme off-road Jeep fanatics,” “Jeep owners who are passionate about customization, performance and personalization will have a long menu of Jeep Performance Parts from which to choose.”

Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Concept:

Painted in blood-orange

35 inch Mickey Thompson off-road tires

17 inch aluminum wheels

Enlarged wheel openings with custom fender flares

Custom front and rear skid plates

Dual rear tow hooks

Modified Mopar rock rails

SRT hood

Jeep Wrangler Mopar Recon:

6.4 liter HEMI V8 with 470hp

Five-speed automatic transmission

Dana 60 front and rear axles with 4.10 gearing

Several Mopar parts like the front and rear half-door and window kits, front and rear off-road modified “Stinger” bumpers, Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary hood, slush mats, prototype LED headlamps, a canvas soft top, a custom seat made from Navy blankets and Navy camouflage material, swing-away rear tire carrier, and many other parts.
