Volkswagen Amarok Power Pickup shows up in Wörthersee

Seems the Design Vision GTI isn't the only concept the German company will bring to the GTI Festival in Wörthersee, Germany. We will also get to see a more powerful version of the brands pickup, the Amarok Power Pickup, that most likely will never get into production.

The pickup actually looks cool, and kinda remembers the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor without the off-road capability, but if we compare it with the teasers that were shown, it ends up being a little bit disappointing.

Powering this concept is a 3.0 liter V6 turbocharged diesel engine that produces 272PS (268hp or 200kW) and 600Nm (443lb/ft) of torque. This is more than enough to to accelerate this heavy vehicle, with a permanent all-wheel drive system, up to 100km/h (62mph) in a decent 7.9 seconds. The gearbox is an automatic with 8 speeds.

The fenders have been widened by 60mm (2.36 inches) so the 22-inch wheels fit more easily. The front and rear bumpers are new, and so is the side skirts and the interior, that looks it could be in any sports car.
