Italian tire manufacturer, Pirelli, celebrates this year their jubilee and the German Volvo tuner, HEICO SPORTIV, wants to join the party. In 2009, both companies partnership in motorsports, but soon reached other business areas, with Pirelli becoming one of Heico Sportiv’s key technology partners.
That is why Heico Sportiv created the V40 Pirelli. The car is painted in black with a red decorative strip, and includes a specific body-kit that includes a new front and read bumper, side skirts, diffuser, and a front and rear spoiler.
The 1.6 liter petrol engine saw its power increased from 150PS (110kw or 148hp) to 200PS (147kW or 197hp), and the torque figure increased from 240Nm (177lb/ft) to 300Nm (221lb/ft). These new values make the V40 accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 7.9 seconds (the regular version takes 8.8 seconds), while the top speed suffered a 20km/h (12mph), which now stands at 230km/h (143mph).
The tires are, of course, supplied by Pirelli, so the V40 uses 235/35R19 Pirelli P Zeros with the new 8x19” VOLUTION® VII wheels. Another important change was the reduction by 30mm of the vehicle's height, thanks to the new suspensions.
The interior has also been modified. All seams were made with a red thread to contrast with the all-black interior and the piano-black speedometer casing and floating central console. If you want you can have these modifications together with other engines.
