After yesterday's teaser, Peugeot has finally officially unveiled the facelift of the 508. We can finally see the new shapes of the sedan, station wagon (SW) and PSE (PEUGEOT SPORT ENGINEERED) versions.
Externally, the main changes happened at the front, with a revised front bumper for all trim levels and slim Matrix LED headlamps highlighting Peugeot's traditional three-claw design. At the back, we see a revised bumper and new LED lights that incorporate the signature 3-claw design with scrolling indicators connected from side to side with a new Peugeot badge in a black strip. Also new are the aluminium 18-inch EPHERRA wheels, with a diamond pattern.

Inside, Peugeot introduces the new infotainment system, the PEUGEOT i-Connect® Advanced. It features the also now classic Peugeot steering wheel in front of the revised digital cluster with new display modes. Centrally we find a driver oriented 10-inch high-definition touch screen for a better view of the TomTom® connected navigation system.
Peugeot also wants to highlight the technological evolution that its new model presents, with special emphasis on features such as the Adaptive cruise control with Stop and Go function and adjustable inter-vehicle distance setpoint, automatic emergency braking with collision warning, active Lane Departure Warning with lane departure correction, Driver Attention Alert (detects impaired alertness over long driving times and at speeds of more than 65km/h by analysing micro-movements at the steering wheel), Extended recognition and display of road signs on the digital cluster, Night Vision system, which detects living creatures (pedestrians/animals) in front of the vehicle at night or in reduced visibility, Blind spot monitoring, High-definition parking aid cameras, Mirror indexing when engaging reverse gear and a controlled damping system with 3 driving modes (Normal, Sport and Comfort).
Available with three hybrid options;
NEW PLUG-IN HYBRID 180 e-EAT8: 2-wheel drive / 150 bhp PureTech engine (110kW) and an 81 kW electric motor coupled with the 8-speed e-EAT8 automatic gearbox.
PLUG-IN HYBRID 225 e-EAT8: 2-wheel drive / 180 bhp (132 kW) PureTech engine and an 81 kW electric motor coupled with the 8-speed e-EAT8 automatic gearbox.
PSE: PLUG-IN HYBRID4 360 e-EAT8: 4-wheel drive / at the front, a combination of a 200bhp (147kW) PureTech engine and an 81kW electric motor with the 8-speed e-EAT8 automatic gearbox / at the rear, an 83kW electric motor and the energy management system from the PEUGEOT 9X8.
And three gasoline variants:
PureTech 130 EAT8: the 3-cylinder petrol engine with a capacity of 1.2 litres and 130bhp is combined with the EAT8 8-speed automatic gearbox and a Stop & Start system.
BlueHdi 130 EAT8: the 4-cylinder diesel engine with 1.5 litres of capacity and 130bhp is combined with the EAT8 8-speed automatic gearbox and a Stop & Start system.
Puretech 218 EAT8: Only for export destinations (Africa, Middle East, Asia), a 4-cylinder, 1.6-litre petrol engine with 218bhp that complies with the pollution control regulations in the countries concerned and is combined with the 8-speed EAT8 automatic gearbox.
The facelift Peugeot 508 will be available this summer with production taking place in France at the Mulhouse plant.
