Nissan March (Micra) Nismo and Nismo S revealed. Looks cool

The Nissan March, also known as the Nissan Micra in many markets, gained a sportier version brought to us by Nismo. Well, it isn't really to us, because it will only be sold in Japan. The March will be offered in two grades or trim levels, the base Nismo and the Nismo S.

Both grades have an improved and sportier exterior that features aerodynamic technology developed by Nismo in the Nissan GT-R. These exterior changes allow the small car to have zero lift, resulting in improved road -holding ability and increased driving stability.

This new exterior features a new and improved front bumper, front grille, roof spoiler, side sill protectors, fender moldings, LED daytime running lights, rear fog lamps, privacy glass and is available in just three colors; Brilliant White Pearl, Brilliant Silver and Pure Black.

Inside, Nismo added a Alcantara-covered steering wheel, suede sport bucket seats, an instrument cluster with a 220km/h speedometer, aluminum pedals and a piano-black trim.

The base March Nismo uses the same 1.2-liter engine mated to a XTRONIC continuously variable transmission (CVT) found in the X grade car. It produces 79PS (78bhp or 58kW) and 106Nm (78lb/ft) of torque.

If you want something more powerfully, Nissan offers the Nismo S with a 1.5-liter engine that produces 116PS (114bhp or 85kW) and 156Nm (115lb/ft). Connected to this engine is a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The suspension has been tuned to provide a better feel, and so was the steering, brake system and exhaust system. Other important change was the replacement of the original wheels with 16-inch aluminum wheels, fitted with Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires (205/45R16).
