A German blog obtained two sketches, allegedly from Daimler, of what the next-generation Mercedes-Benz Viano will look like. In them we can see how the exterior and interior will be, and that the Viano will resemble some of the more recent models, like the A-Class and the Citan.
Mercedes is already testing the new Viano, but this is the first time we see it in a way that we can get an idea of its appearance. The end result doesn't look that bad, it actually made want to see it.
We can expect the new Viano to have better materials and a higher built quality, because it will try to close the gap to the R-Class, which is expected to be discontinued.
One objective of Mercedes is to reduce the weight of the vehicle, so that it can use only four cylinder engines, but nothing is confirmed regarding the engines used, we might even see a V6 or a V8. Something we will see is the 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic transmission, which will be available with all engines.
