In a month begins the Frankfurt Motor Show, meaning it isn't that far away, and with that in mind, Audi is slowly starting to reveal a little bit of one of the most anticipated cars of this motor show. By now you might be thinking that Audi already made a quattro concept, so what is this?
This is an evolution of the 2010 concept that got canceled in 2012. It is now based on a shortened version of the RS7 platform (MLB-evo), and weighs about 1700kg (3748lbs) and measures approximately 4.5 meters (117.17 inches).
This crazy looking car is fitted with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter TFSI V8 also found in the RS6 and RS7 and a pair of electric motors that together produce over 700PS (515kW or 690bhp). This is good for a zero to 100km/h (62mph) time of 3 seconds and a top speed of 330km/h (205mph).
But if you want, you can drive only using electric power thank to the batteries. They allow the car to be driven for about 35km (close to 22 miles) on a single charge.
I am sure that Audi will soon reveal this super car, but at worst, we will have to wait for the 10th of September.
