Maserati has just announced they are going to introduce the 2014 Maserati Ghibli at the Shanghai Motor Show, only a few months later after the Italian company unveiled the Quattroporte, which seems a little odd, ending the hype created over the large luxurious four-door saloon.
But we don't care, we just want to see the new vehicle that will rival such cars like the Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5-Series and the Audi A6. From what we can see in the picture below, it will have a fastback shape reminiscent of the older model.
It will be based on the same platform already being used by the Quattroporte and will also share many, if not all the engines with it's bigger brother (turbocharged V6 and V8 units together with an automatic gearbox). There are some rumors that Maserati will also sell it with a few diesel engines, but that wasn't confirmed.
