Fisker Automotive fires 75% of its workforce. Does this mean bankruptcy?


This is sad. Several reports have been showing up saying Fisker Automotive, a company that made the innovative plug-in hybrid luxury sports sedan called Karma, fired 75% of its workforce. Fisker had over 200 workers, meaning around 150 to 160 employees were terminated today. Even the company’s public relations team wasn't spared.

Alpine will return to Le Mans after 35 years!


Last year, Renault announced they were going to revive the Alpine brand, but the first model will only arrive in 2016. To keep the Alpine name on the spotlight, Renault planned several things. The first was the entry of five A110 berlinettes for last January’s Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique. The next one will be the return to endurance racing in the 2013 Le Mans.

BMW celebrates fifteen years as the "Official Car of MotoGP" with a special M6 Gran Coupe


That is right, for the last fifteen years BMW provided the official Safety Cars for the MotoGP, and to celebrate that we will see for the first time in public the recently introduced BMW M6 Gran Coupe. And that will happen in then opening round of the 2013 season at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar.

Renault Twin'Run Concept - Is this the replacement for the Renault 5? LeCar in the USA [Video]


A few weeks ago Renault started teasing the Ross Lovegrove concept, and in one of the pictures we had a pretty clear view of the back of the car. If we compare that picture with the image we got from the Twin'Run concept, we can clearly see they are pretty much a match, meaning the Lovegrove concept could serve as a preview for the Twin'Run.

Tesla says the next Roadster will be something special


When the first Tesla Roadster was introduced, it was described as something fantastic and revolutionary. It was a rear wheel drive electric car with two seats with the engine behind the driver, like all good sports cars, that could reach 201 km/h (125mph), had a range of over 320km (200 miles) and took less than four seconds to reach 100km/h (62mph) from standstill.

Land Rover says the Range Rover Evoque convertible will not be built


For many this isn't good news. Many of you would love to see the Evoque convertible get into production, but i wouldn't. Part of the appeal of the Evoque comes from the sloping roof line that makes it so attractive. so removing its top is something i don't see favorably. Luckily, Land Rover agrees with me.

Detroit Electric reveals the SP:01. An electric sports car


A few weeks ago, you saw here exclusively the first teaser of the new limited edition electric two-seat sports car from the car manufacturer that hasn't build a car for over 70 years, Detroit Electric. It seems that they were serious because they have just introduced the SP:01.

BMW X4 concept leaked to the web!


This was unexpected. We knew that BMW sooner or later was going to release the X4, but it was somewhat surprising to see that a few minutes ago five images of the concept appeared online. If there is something that we know about BMW is that their concepts are usually very similar to the production models, so now we can get a good idea of how the final version will look like.

The Hennessey Venon GT is now the fastest production car in the world! [Video]


In the video you can see below, the Hennessey Venom GT reached a record breaking top speed of 427,59km/h (265.7mph) on a stretch of road with two miles (3219 meters), in particular on a runway at the Naval Air Station Lemoore, California. Now we wait to see what the Germans are going to do with the Buggati, because i am sure they were not pleased.

Peugeot retuns to Pikes Peak with a special 208 T16 and Sébastien Loeb [Video]


Last week Peugeot announced that it will once again compete at Pikes Peak in the Unlimited class, one of the most important hill climb events in the world, with a very special 208 T16. The event will take place on June 30, and will be the first time the nine-time World Rally Championship (WRC) winner, Sébastien Loeb, races in this event.
